Vitaliteitsmarkt XXL

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, the Grote Kerk Alkmaar will once again be dedicated to healthy, active, and vital aging. After two successful editions, the Municipality of Alkmaar and Alkmaar Sport are organizing the Vitality Market XXL for the third time.

Between 10:00 and 16:00, visitors can get acquainted with organizations and initiatives in the fields of exercise, health, nutrition, well-being, and social interaction, among others. In addition, there is a program with various activities, workshops, and presentations. This provides ample opportunity to gain inspiration, receive practical tips, and discover the possibilities in Alkmaar to stay fit and vital.

The first well-known names from the program have also been announced. Olga Commandeur, the face of Nederland in Beweging for many years, will be present. Professor Erik Scherder, professor of neuropsychology and known for his enthusiastic stories about the brain, exercise, and health, will also contribute to the program.

The Vitality Market XXL is free to attend and registration is not required. Visitors can walk into the Grote Kerk Alkmaar freely between 10:00 and 16:00.
