Moorings for visiting boats
Pleasure yachts can dock at various locations in the center of Alkmaar. Below are details of moorings at the Noordhollands Kanaal and the newly renovated Turfmarkt (eastern center). These marinas are perfectly located for a fun boating holiday in the Netherlands, close to shops and restaurants!
The Bierkade is a reporting quay! After consulting the harbor office, a mooring will be assigned.

Moorings for motor charters, river cruises, and commercial shipping
In the northern part of Alkmaar’s center, pleasure yachts can dock, as well as space for motor charters, river cruise ships, and commercial vessels.

Rates
Harbor fees
After taking a mooring, harbor fees are due.
Rate for pleasure craft: €1.55 per linear meter per day, minimum €10.85.
Rate for river cruise and charter vessels: €1.10 per meter per day.
Historic commercial vessels, part of the Floating Heritage, receive a 50% discount on harbor fees in the municipal harbor of Alkmaar upon presentation of a valid blue pass. This discount does not include water and electricity. From October 15 to April 15, weekly, monthly, and winter rates are available on request. Prices include 21% VAT.
No tourist tax in Alkmaar
In Alkmaar, no tourist tax is charged for people on a boating holiday! (This applies to all vessels: both pleasure yachts and cruise ships).
Reservations for commercial shipping
Only for commercial, river cruise, and motor charter vessels. Reservations are possible for €0.40 per meter of vessel length, on top of the harbor fee of €1.10/m. You can download the reservation form below.
